Born and raised in Ghana with most of his teenage years spent in Brookyn NY when his family relocated to the states, DJ Lyriks always had a passion for music and was going to deal with at some point. As a kid, he was fascinated with how djs were able to change mood of a party, an occasion through various mixes, constantly thinking of ways to introduce the next hot song, blending diverse musical genres. He got his start as a dj from days of mixing cassettes in two decks during his sisters and other family birthday parties as well as messing with his uncles vinyls in the basement. He is currently based in Madison Wisconsin, USA however he has djed all accross the country and across the globe in venues at NY, DC, Chicago, ATL, Charlotte, Minnesota, London, Ghana and counting. He has also djed for afrobeats artist Iyanya, Bisa Kdei, king promise, and was the promotional dj for renowed Living legend ghanaian musician Kojo Antwi on his 2018 USA tour. DJ Lyriks is the host and dj at the #1, most consistent and biggest international party in Wisconsin Afrovibe Soiree.
